About the Role:

To drive growth and customer acquisition strategy, they are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Talent Strategy to join their team. The ideal candidate is a visionary capable of devising and executing a comprehensive talent strategy for our clients that prioritizes growth and customer satisfaction, enhances our market reach, fortifies client relationships, and elevates our client’s reputation in the marketplace.


  • Strategy Development: The VP of Talent Strategy is responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive strategies to achieve the organization's client acquisition and revenue targets. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning business development efforts with the company's goals and objectives.


  • Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management: Cultivating solid relationships with prospects, clients, and key industry stakeholders is crucial for business growth. The VP of Talent Strategy will proactively engage with key decision-makers, nurture new client relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the sales process. The ultimate goal is to build a strong community of CHROs who meet regularly to network and share best practices.


  • Sales Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics is essential for evaluating the effectiveness of business development efforts. The VP of Talent Strategy should analyze sales data, identify trends and patterns, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize sales processes, improve conversion rates, and maximize revenue generation.


  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaboration across departments is vital for achieving synergy and alignment in business development activities. The VP of Talent Strategy should collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive messaging, product-market fit, and ongoing customer satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the company's overall success.

  • Proficiency in Business, Marketing, Sales, and Financial Principles: Strong proficiency in business, marketing, and sales techniques, as well as a solid understanding of financial principles related to contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrate a relentless commitment to excellence, ensuring client needs are met and exceeded at every opportunity.

  • Outstanding Project Management Capabilities: Skilled in project management, capable of managing multiple initiatives concurrently while ensuring timely execution and alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Passion for Company Growth: Demonstrates a genuine passion for the growth and potential of the company, exhibiting enthusiasm, drive, and a proactive mindset in pursuing opportunities for expansion and success.

  • Proven Sales Growth in Mid-Market Organizations: Demonstrated track record of driving significant sales growth, managing a $2m+ portfolio of contracts in SaaS or Consultative High Contract Value (HCV) sales. A deep understanding of mid-market sales cycles, market dynamics, and the ability to consistently deliver results in a competitive landscape is expected.

  • Exceptional Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Highly organized and adept at prioritizing tasks, managing time efficiently, and solving complex problems creatively and collaboratively.

  • Comfort and Ease in Software Demonstration: Skilled in conducting software demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and value proposition of our client’s products or services. Capable of effectively tailoring demonstrations to address prospective clients' specific needs and pain points, thereby enhancing engagement and driving conversion rates.

  • Proficiency in HubSpot CRM: Experience and proficiency in utilizing HubSpot CRM or similar customer relationship management systems to manage leads, track sales activities, and optimize the sales process for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
