Job Title: Front -End Web Designer/Developer

Department: Stage

Stage Marketing seeks a talented and creative Front-End Web Designer/Developer to help us build modern, high-performance websites while supporting existing PHP-based projects. The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of web design and development work using modern frameworks but is also comfortable working in PHP environments as we transition away from them. This position will need someone equally adept at building new sites with technologies like Webflow, React, and Next.js while maintaining and optimizing legacy WordPress/PHP-based websites.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create and implement responsive websites and web applications using React, Next.js, and Webflow.
• Legacy Support: Maintain and enhance existing PHP/WordPress websites, ensuring stability and performance.
• Optimization: Improve website speed, SEO, and accessibility to enhance user experience and search engine rankings.
• Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and cross-functional teams to bring designs to life.
• Reusable Components: Develop modular, scalable, and maintainable front-end components for streamlined development.
• Design Handoff: Ensure smooth transitions from design to development using Figma or Adobe XD.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve front-end issues across different browsers and devices.
• Project Planning: Participate in client feedback sessions, project roadmaps, and team stand-ups to align development with business objectives.
• Technology Advancement: Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and 

Requirements & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in front-end web design and development.
• Expertise in React.js and Next.js frameworks.
• Experience building websites with Webflow and Shopify (custom theming preferred).
• Strong understanding of PHP and WordPress (Divi experience is a plus for legacy projects).
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful or Sanity.
• Proficiency in responsive design, web accessibility (WCAG), and SEO best practices.
• Experience working with modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS).
• Strong Git version control skills.
• Excellent debugging skills across multiple browsers and devices.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with JAMstack architectures (Next.js + Headless CMS + Vercel/Netlify).
• Familiarity with Shopify Hydrogen or other headless commerce solutions.
• Experience working with HubSpot CMS.
