You’ll find a culture that values collaboration, openness, and initiative—where everyone’s voice matters and great work gets recognized. If you’re looking to grow, learn, and build something meaningful, you’ll fit right in here.
About the role
The VP, Measurement establishes and leads AMS’s measurement discipline — a new function designed to unify how we evaluate media and marketing effectiveness across clients, tools, and partners.
This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the EVP, Strategy, Research & Planning. The VP sets AMS’s measurement standards, decides which measurement partners we recommend, and develops scalable frameworks for learning and performance evaluation. The VP will guide how AMS measures what matters for each individual client, media campaign or agency partner.
The VP leads the analytics team and is responsible for ensuring the quality of its output. The role also works closely with planners, buyers, and data scientists across the organization. You will be hands-on in the numbers and doing what needs to be done to establish and advance new product offerings.
What you'll do
Strategic Leadership, Client Impact & Growth
- Define AMS’s measurement strategy and roadmap; codify what “good measurement” looks like across clients.
- Develop frameworks and protocols for campaign evaluation, attribution, and experimentation.
- Create and maintain client-specific Learning Agendas to guide optimization and decision-making.
- Advise clients on the right measurement approach — selecting, managing, and interpreting results from MMM, MTA, incrementality, and attention studies.
- Measure across AMS’s full channel mix: linear TV, CTV, OOH/DOOH, audio, print, and digital.
- Translate complex data and statistical models into clear, actionable business insights.
- Represent SRP and AMS in senior client conversations, strategic reviews, and industry thought leadership.
- Lead measurement in new-business pitches and RFPs, and make measurement a reason clients choose AMS.
- Identify upsell and organic growth opportunities in clients’ measurement needs, and partner with Client and SRP leadership to turn them into revenue.
Analytics Team Leadership
- Lead the analytics team: set priorities, standards, and workflow.
- Be responsible for ensuring the output quality of the analytics team, so that everything reaching clients is accurate, consistent, and insightful.
- Hire, coach, and develop analysts.
Vendor & Technology Management
- Own relationships with measurement vendors, analytics partners, and data providers; evaluate performance, decide which partners AMS recommends, and lead negotiations with the trade team.
- Stay current on evolving open-source methodologies and privacy-safe data environments.
- Identify emerging tools and technologies that improve measurement quality or efficiency; lead pilot testing and integration.
- Collaborate with Procurement, IT, and Analytics to ensure compliance, interoperability, and data governance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Internal Enablement
- A very cross-functional role: part of the Strategy, Planning, and Research team, but working with Client and Media to embed measurement thinking into all stages of planning and activation.
- Ensure tagging, tracking, and data integrity best practices are consistently applied across campaigns.
- Build internal measurement “hygiene” — including standards for data documentation, reporting cadence, and vendor evaluation.
- Educate teams across AMS on measurement frameworks, experimental design, and interpretation.
- Develop templates and repeatable deliverables such as measurement briefs, test plans, and post-campaign analyses.
Product & Thought Leadership
- Contribute to the design and improvement of AMS’s proprietary measurement frameworks and tools.
- Establish AMS’s point of view on emerging measurement trends and communicate it internally and externally.
- Publish insights, case studies, and thought leadership that advance AMS’s reputation for measurement innovation.
Qualifications
Experience & Expertise
- 10+ years of experience in marketing measurement, with increasing leadership responsibility.
- Deep understanding of attribution, MMM, incrementality testing, and causal inference methodologies.
- Experience or opinions evaluating and managing external measurement vendors and SaaS-based tools.
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing measurement programs that drive business outcomes.
- Hands-on familiarity with statistical analysis and experimentation tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and clean room environments.
Technical Acumen
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to build and communicate complex findings visually and succinctly.
- Working knowledge of how media works across traditional and digital channels and its major data sources (TV currency and ACR data, OOH audience measurement, what comes out of a DSP or walled garden, Nielsen, Comscore, YouGov, Resonate, MRI).
- Capable of translating analytics and research into actionable strategic narratives.
We’re Excited About You Because
- You like problem solving, betas and independence. You can work in in the real world of missing or messy data and come up with ways to advance projects anyway.
- You’ve worn many different hats and can thrive at the intersection of data science, media planning, and client storytelling.
- You say “I don’t know” if you don’t know something. Then try to find out.
- You are both a builder and a teacher — capable of creating new systems and bringing others along.
