Summary:


Anaconda is seeking a Senior People Systems Partner to join our People team. This is a high-autonomy, senior-level role ideal for someone with a deep systems background, cross-functional communication skills, and a desire to drive scalable improvement across the People tech stack. You will independently lead delivery, optimization, and adoption of critical People systems; proactively identify and relieve compliance and data quality risks; and contribute to department-level strategy.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Security, and Legal, resolve complex systems issues, and guide the team in adopting best practices around system use, automation, and data governance. You will represent the People function in broader planning and advocate for strategic investments to meet both current and future needs.


What You'll Do:

  • Own and Lead System Delivery
    • Lead and execute end-to-end implementation and optimization projects for tools like Rippling, Jira, Confluence, Culture Amp, and our Ask-People-Team AI Agent, Ask Kate. 
    • Define methods, select tools, and ensure delivery of reliable, scalable systems that support the People team’s needs.
    • Continuously improve data quality, process reliability, and employee experience.
  • Guide and Mentor System Use
    • Act as the People team’s subject matter expert and primary guide on system configurations and data usage.
    • Mentor peers in using tools for analytics, workflows, and strategic decision-making.
    • Promote repeatable and sustainable practices through enablement and documentation.
  • Raise and Relieve Compliance & Security Risks
    • Independently identify risks related to SOC2/ISO compliance, access control, data integrity, and security.
    • Collaborate with Security, Legal, and IT to mitigate risks, update controls, and document systems accordingly.
    • Ensure that Anaconda remains audit-ready and aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Drive System Adoption & Change Management
    • Own adoption success for People systems across the team; measure usage and satisfaction.
    • Create feedback loops with stakeholders and improve systems based on patterns in team needs.
    • Lead change management and communication for new feature rollouts and system changes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Advocacy
    • Lead planning and prioritization across teams to ensure People systems align with broader business strategy.
    • Resolve misalignment and competing needs through stakeholder engagement and clear proposals.
    • Advocate for People function requirements in tooling, budget, and process planning forums.
  • Data & Reporting Enablement
    • Design and build analytics capabilities that allow the People team to operate with insight and foresight.
    • Partner with business leaders to ensure data reports and dashboards are actionable and timely.
    • Consistently improve the accessibility and utility of People data.
  • Drive Innovation in People Technology
    • Continuously research and evaluate new trends, features, and tools in the People tech ecosystem.
    • Propose, test, and implement innovations that modernize and future-proof our systems.
  • Execution & Leadership
    • Take ownership of complex problems and deliver measurable improvements.
    • Identify root causes and implement lasting changes that scale.
    • Contribute to setting department-level systems strategy and roadmap
What You Need:
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments.
  • Extensive, hands-on experience in People systems and HR tech stack leadership.
  • Demonstrated success independently delivering systems projects with high complexity.
  • Deep knowledge of Rippling, Jira, Culture Amp, and relevant systems integrations.
  • Experience driving compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC2, ISO) with technical and business partners.
  • Strong ability to guide cross-functional teams and advocate for People team needs.
  • Strategic thinking and execution discipline with attention to both system details and user experience.

The base salary range for this role is $138,000 - $179,000 for candidates in New York City and San Francisco, and $103,000 - $146,000 for other US-based team members, along with annual bonus potential, equity participation, and benefits.


Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
