Summary:


Anaconda is seeking a talented Payroll Specialist to join our rapidly growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.


What You'll Do:
  • Work closely with the People and Finance departments to process payroll for employees in multiple countries  
  • Work with agencies on international payroll 
  • Calculate wages and other compensation components, including equity-based awards
  • Manage multi-currency payroll, including handling exchange rate complexities
  • Handle garnishments, benefits deductions, and other special payroll adjustments
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries
  • Ensure payroll complies with international, federal, and local tax laws and labor regulations
  • Prepare and file payroll tax reports, including quarterly and annual filings
  • Support audits related to workers' compensation, 401(k), and other benefits, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance
  • Create and implement policies and procedures for interdepartmental processes around onboarding, off-boarding, variable compensation, etc.
  • Maintain a current and accurate view of global headcount costing with an overlay of hiring requisitions
What You Need:
  • 5+ years managing global payroll for 500+ employees across multiple countries
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certifications are a plus
  • Proficiency in global payroll systems and intermediate Excel skills
  • Deep understanding of US and international tax laws, labor laws, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team

The base salary range for this role is $91,000 - $118,375 for candidates in New York City and San Francisco, and $68,500 - $100,750 for other US-based team members, along with annual bonus potential, equity participation, and benefits.


Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
