Summary:
We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our growing Solutions Engineering team, covering the EMEA region from a UK base. This is a hybrid pre-sales and post-sales role that blends sales engineering, solutions architecture, and technical account management — making you a trusted technical partner to prospects and customers across the full customer lifecycle.
You will sit at the intersection of technical depth and strategic engagement: helping enterprise organizations understand, adopt, and expand their use of Anaconda's platform, while directly influencing revenue growth and customer outcomes. You will work closely with a collaborative, geographically distributed Solutions Engineering team and partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Product & Engineering.
As one of the first Solutions Engineers dedicated to EMEA, you will play a highly visible role in shaping how technical engagement is delivered across the region, operating with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
Some travel to events and client/prospect sites may be required.
What You'll Do:
Pre-Sales Technical Engagement
- Partner with Sales to drive deal velocity and win rates by delivering compelling technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements
- Position Anaconda's platform as the right technical solution for enterprise prospects, tailoring narratives to audiences ranging from data scientists and engineers to IT leadership and C-suite stakeholders
- Respond to technical requirements in RFPs and support the Sales team in navigating complex enterprise procurement processes
Post-Sales Solutions & Expansion
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor post-close, guiding customers through implementation, onboarding, and platform adoption
- Identify and develop expansion opportunities by deeply understanding customer environments, workflows, and evolving AI/data science needs
- Partner with Customer Success to contribute to strong net revenue retention
Technical Depth & Customer Strategy
- This is a primarily advisory role, focused on architectural guidance and best practices, partnering closely with Product & Engineering, Professional Services, and Support for hands-on delivery where appropriate
- Leverage your knowledge of the Python ecosystem, data science workflows, and AI/ML frameworks to engage credibly with technical practitioners and architects
- Develop and maintain demo environments, reference architectures, and technical documentation that scale across the team
- Stay current with trends in AI, LLMs, and enterprise data science to act as a knowledgeable resource for customers and internal stakeholders alike
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a voice of the customer, bringing field insights back to Product & Engineering to inform roadmap prioritisation
- Collaborate with Marketing on technical content, use cases, and customer stories
- Actively contribute to the broader Solutions Engineering team — sharing knowledge, refining methodologies, and helping build a high-performing, collaborative culture
- Represent Anaconda at customer sites, industry events, and conferences as a trusted technical ambassado

What You Need:
- 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical account management, or a closely related customer-facing technical role
- Familiarity with Python and the broader data science ecosystem sufficient to configure and deliver compelling product demonstrations (note that the role is primarily advisory, rather than hands-on development)
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and how enterprises are adopting AI and LLM-based technologies
- Proven ability to build strategic relationships with enterprise customers and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills — comfortable engaging technical practitioners and executive audiences with equal confidence
- Experience working in a pre-sales, post-sales, or blended technical customer engagement model
- Self-motivated and effective working remotely and independently across a distributed team
- Proficiency in English and French
