The mission or the Business Solutions Engineer is to create automated solutions to help bridge the gap between core system functionality and business processes.  Collaborates with the Product and Engineering team on the requirements for implementing solutions with our core software.  Data Analyst III supports operations and conducts data analytics projects to provide information and insight to stakeholders for decision-making or solution development.  Implements data standards and deployed automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform data into usable metrics.  Utilizes scripting and querying tools like Python, SQL, data visualization/BI tools and Tableau, to produce automations to take bulk action to replace manual processes.  Leverages cross-functional communications to promote a strong culture of continuous individual and aggregate improvements.  


  • Drive change and innovation from a technical perspective and advocate new technologies within formal and informal networks. 

    • Leverage software engineering tools such as Python, SQL, and other cloud solutions

    • Implement data standards and deploy automation tools 

    • Ability to use debug techniques and tools, to identify and correct errors

  • Solution and resolve operational efficiencies 

  • Develop and execute tests to ensure data quality and pipeline stability

  • Create and maintain automated deployment pipelines to maintain quality control and deployment agility. 

  • Assist in leading the development of solutions that incorporate a high degree of product innovation, differentiating value, and competitive advantage. 

  • Document processes and tools, fostering a culture of data transparency and literacy

    • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols as well as required system documentation. 

    • Stay up-to-date and innovate the latest data engineering and analytics trends and best practices

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Analysts, Operations Leaders, and Software Engineers, to define operational requirements, and deliversolutions that drive internal alignment and process improvements

Desired Qualifications: 
  • 4+ years professional software development experience or data analytics expertise or education

  • Proficient with PostgreSQL or other (O)RDBMS 

  • Comfort developing in a unix environment (regardless of distribution)

  • Intermediate coding skills with knowledge of patterns and best practices in software engineering or the ability to learn these on the job

  • A commitment to test driven development.

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Jira,  Google Sheets, and Tableau.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where flexibility and adaptability are key.
