Position Overview:
The Processing Site Supervisor oversees daily case processing operations within an ICE processing facility. This position is responsible for supervising Case Processing Specialists and Case Processing Aides during assigned shifts, ensuring accurate administrative processing of immigration case documentation, and maintaining operational coordination with facility partners.
Processing Site Supervisors ensure that case processing operations are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with federal requirements. The supervisor coordinates daily workflow, manages staffing assignments, performs quality assurance reviews, and serves as the primary operational point of contact during their assigned shift.
This role reports directly to the Processing Operations Director and works closely with leadership across facility operations, including security, medical, IT, and administrative teams.
Essential Functions:
Shift Leadership & Team Supervision
- Supervise Case Processing Specialists and Case Processing Aides during assigned operational shifts
- Assign daily responsibilities and manage workload distribution among processing staff
- Monitor team performance to ensure operational standards and productivity expectations are met
- Provide direction, coaching, and operational guidance to processing personnel
- Ensure proper staffing coverage and operational continuity during shifts
- Address operational issues and staff concerns as they arise
Case Processing Operations Oversight
- Oversee daily administrative case processing activities conducted by processing staff
- Ensure case documentation and administrative tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines
- Monitor case processing workflow to ensure efficient movement of cases through the processing pipeline
- Support processing staff by resolving workflow bottlenecks or operational barriers
- Ensure compliance with all ICE administrative processing procedures and operational protocols
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct routine quality assurance reviews of case documentation and processing activities
- Identify documentation errors, process gaps, or compliance issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor adherence to established procedures, policies, and operational guidelines
- Maintain documentation of quality assurance reviews and operational observations
- Escalate significant compliance or operational concerns to the Processing Operations Director
Operational Coordination
- Coordinate with facility partners including security personnel, medical staff, IT support, and other operational teams
- Facilitate communication between processing staff and other operational departments within the facility
- Coordinate with facility leadership to ensure smooth detainee flow through processing activities
- Support coordination of operational activities involving multiple departments
Staffing & Schedule Management
- Develop and manage shift schedules for Case Processing Specialists and Case Processing Aides
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage to meet operational requirements
- Monitor attendance, shift coverage, and workforce availability
- Coordinate staffing adjustments in response to operational needs
Training & Staff Development
- Support onboarding and training of new processing staff
- Reinforce operational procedures and documentation standards with team members
- Coordinate with training personnel to ensure staff receive required operational training
- Provide ongoing performance feedback and mentorship to processing staff
Communication & Reporting
- Provide operational updates and shift reports to the Processing Operations Director
- Document significant operational events, workflow challenges, or staffing issues
- Communicate operational priorities and updates to processing staff
- Participate in leadership meetings and operational briefings as required
Knowledge and Skills

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administrative operations, case processing, or government program support
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in government operations, detention environments, legal administration, or immigration programs preferred
- Experience with case management systems or administrative documentation processes preferred
- Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
- Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with federal contract requirements

Work Environment
- Fully onsite position within an ICE processing facility in Maryland
- Work schedules include 24/7 coverage, and may include shifts on overnights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Standard administrative office and processing facility environment
- May involve extended periods of computer work and documentation processing
- Fast-paced operational environment requiring attention to detail and professionalism
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods while conducting data entry and interviews
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during facility operations (up to 8-12 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions
- Capability to work in varied environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, temperature variations)
- Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations throughout the facility
- Visual acuity for detailed computer work and document review
- Auditory ability to conduct interviews and monitor facility for safety concerns
