About the Role

As a Warranty Technician, you’ll be the expert customer’s trust when it matters most. You’ll be out in the field solving real problems, diagnosing issues, and performing hands-on repairs that protect the quality of our work and the homeowner’s investment. No two days are the same—you might be evaluating a warranty concern, handling underwater repairs, or helping a customer understand the best path forward when a repair falls outside of coverage. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys technical challenges, working independently, and being the face of the company in the field—delivering solutions, building confidence, and leaving every customer feeling taken care of.


General Summary of Position

The Warranty Tech is the main point of contact with the customer in the field and must have a strong customer service focus in addition to a well-rounded general pool construction, pool equipment operations, leak detection and underwater repair background. This position will at times evaluate warranty claims, resolve issues on site, and perform repair work, as well as advising and assisting customers when issues are not covered under warranty.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with office staff to support repair and inspection scheduling, maintaining effective working relationships to promote quality work and scheduling efficiency
  • Assist in planning and coordinating warranty repairs based on workflow, project conditions, and vendor availability; partner with Construction to complete punch list items as needed
  • Perform swimming pool and pool equipment repairs, including crack repairs, leak detection, plumbing repairs, equipment diagnostics, replacement, and start-ups
  • Conduct Pool School and customer education as assigned, and communicate service recommendations related to warranty or repair issues to customers and internal teams
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of all pool services performed
  • Maintain working knowledge of Anthony & Sylvan equipment, chemicals, and maintenance services and support the promotion of upgrades as directed
  • Maintain current technical knowledge through vendor training; assist with onboarding or in-field support of newer technicians while ensuring proper vehicle care, inventory control, and safe handling and application of pool chemicals
  •  Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education

High School Diploma/GED preferred

Licenses/Certifications

Valid driver’s license required

 

NESP CMS & CMT preferred

Years of Experience

3 - 5 years swimming pool service / pool construction experience preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities

Must possess strong communication skills and proven problem solving and organization skills.

 

Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment repair and working knowledge and experience in the areas of plumbing, masonry, and electrical required. 

 

Must be a team player with a strong work ethic, excellent computer skills and a positive approach to customer service.

 

Excellent organization skills, quick learner, result oriented, attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills required.  Team player with customer focus and self-motivated.

90-100%

Other Requirements

Occasional overtime and Saturday work is required during peak seasonal periods.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; often greater than 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery or tools (with or without assistive devices)
  • Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, gloves)
  • Ability to drive or travel between job sites as needed
