About the Role

In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping renovation projects moving forward by addressing a wide range of construction, service, and maintenance needs for pools. You’ll handle hands-on repairs, troubleshoot equipment and accessories, and help resolve renovation-related challenges as they arise. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with their hands, and seeing the direct results of their work while contributing to high-quality renovation outcomes and a positive customer experience.


General Summary of Position

Responsible for addressing all construction, service, and maintenance related to the renovation challenges/needs to pools, including minor repairs, maintenance and repair of pool equipment and accessories.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced water testing and chemical balancing to maintain proper pool conditions
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace swimming pool equipment as needed
  • Safely handle, transport, deliver, and apply pool chemicals in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all pool services performed
  • Communicate effectively with Schedulers, the Renovation Coordinator, and the Renovation Construction Manager to provide recommendations related to customer claim and renovation issues
  • Maintain working knowledge of Anthony & Sylvan pool equipment and maintenance services, and support discussions with customers as needed
  • Maintain company vehicle cleanliness, maintenance, and inventory accuracy; assist with in-field training of new technicians and complete unforeseen tasks that arise during pool renovations
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education

High School Diploma/GED preferred

Licenses/Certifications

NESP CMS & CMT preferred.

 

Valid driver’s license required.

Years of Experience

One to three years’ technical experience in the service industry required.

 

General pool background preferred.

 

Water chemistry preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities

Mechanical aptitude & problem solving.

 

Strong organizational and communication skills; quick learner with attention to detail, results-driven mindset, customer focus, and ability to work effectively as a self-motivated team player

 

Proficient with Pro Edge to obtain daily schedule and tasks.

 

Ability to use iPhone or other similar technologies. 

Travel Requirements

Must be willing to travel 90- 100%

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; often greater than 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery or tools (with or without assistive devices)
  • Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, gloves)
  • Ability to communicate promptly and clearly via phone and computer
  • Ability to drive or travel between job sites as needed
