Anza MI is a fintech startup using technology and analytics to drive growth & innovation within the US mortgage market.
About the role
The Technical Project Manager will serve as the primary delivery lead for Anza's technology portfolio, driving end-to-end program management across the MI platform, integrations, and compliance-related technology workstreams. This role blends Scrum Master, BSA, and program management responsibilities, functioning as the connective tissue between product vision, engineering execution, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong agile delivery experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into well-structured, developer-ready artifacts — including BPMN process models, user stories, and Confluence documentation.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end project management for technology initiatives across the MI platform, lender portal, and integrations across the entire SDLC, from requirements to testing
- Serve as Scrum Master and BSA hybrid: facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives, bi-weekly demos) and translate business requirements into BPMN and developer-ready Jira stories
- Manage the Jira and Confluence backlog — maintain prioritization, epics, story-level detail, and roadmap transparency for leadership and development teams
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Development, Operations, Accounting) to drive delivery against quarterly and annual milestones
- Own and drive sprint scheduling, release and backlog planning, and sprint cadence (Monday–Friday, bi-weekly demos) in coordination with engineering leads
- Lead pre-iteration planning sessions and refinement cadences with product, tech leads, and development/testing squads
- Identify and escalate delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers to leadership; maintain RAID log and status reporting
- Drive process improvement and agile maturity across development teams; introduce and champion modern PM tooling and frameworks
