About the role
What you'll do
• Review, draft, and analyze commercial agreements including no-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements, master service agreements, and statements of works.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support contract negotiations in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Assist in developing contract templates, playbooks, and fallback positions.
• Provide legal oversight and guidance on matters handled by the Corporate Paralegal.
• Review escalated issues and complex legal questions.
• Ensure quality control and consistency across legal deliverables.
• Assist with drafting and reviewing board and committee materials, resolutions, and minutes.
• Support entity management and corporate recordkeeping.
• Review corporate actions and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Support review of policies and procedures relevant to a regulated mortgage insurance company.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings for senior attorneys.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries, audits, and compliance initiatives.
Cross-Functional Legal Support
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 1–4 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
