About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Platform Product Management to spearhead the development of our core platform. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for the strategy, and execution of the foundational services and infrastructure that power our product suite of solar and storage industry focused software products. You will lead the charge in creating a platform that is flexible, performant, secure and scalable.

As a Director reporting to the Chief Product and Technology Officer, you will be a senior leader within the product organization, responsible not only for the platform's success but also for fostering strong collaboration and alignment with other product and engineering leaders.


Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Define and own the platform strategy, and roadmap, ensuring it aligns with the overall company goals and the needs of the product verticals.
  • Serve as a key strategic partner to other Product Directors, balancing their ambitious product roadmaps and platform requirements to create a unified, prioritized, and cohesive technical strategy.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our internal and external customers' needs, and translate them into clear product requirements, user stories, and specifications.
  • Prioritize feature development and manage the product backlog, making thoughtful trade-offs to ensure we are delivering the most value to our users.
  • Collaborate with engineering to define the platform architecture, APIs, and technical requirements to deliver a world-class platform that serves as the backbone of our business.
  • Work with the data science and analytics team to define and implement a strategy for our market intelligence product offerings.
  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making, using metrics and user feedback to guide product development.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all things related to the platform, effectively communicating with stakeholders across the organization.


While no one individual will possess them all, the successful candidate will bring many of the following experiences, skills, and attributes:

  • 8-10+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of launching and scaling successful platform or infrastructure products.
  • Experience in a platform-centric environment, with a strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and other platform technologies.
  • Previous experience with marketplace dynamics, data products, or workflow automation tools is highly desirable.
  • A technical background (e.g., a degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience) is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate a clear vision and influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • A strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with short-term execution.
  • A passion for building elegant, user-centric products that solve real-world problems.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.

The pay range for this role is:

150,000 - 200,000 USD per year (united states )
