About the role

The Account Executive’s priority is to drive bookings with Anza’s key accounts. In this dynamic and pivotal role, you’ll work to establish and maintain strong relationships with key IPP, Developer, and EPC customers understand key metrics for success, and deliver better procurement and design outcomes leveraging Anza’s platform. The successful Account Executive is an entrepreneurial leader who is comfortable with commercial and technical challenges associated with complex project development and utility-scale procurement, and who thinks flexibly and strategically to develop account relationships and close new business opportunities.


You will be part of a growing team focused on building Anza’s presence with developers and IPP customers. In this context, you’ll identify opportunities to support customers throughout the design and development process, work closely with our experienced solar and energy storage product teams to demonstrate how customers can leverage Anza’s data and technology to deliver optimal design and procurement outcomes. Your experience with project development and your familiarity with the major equipment supply landscape will provide invaluable context for our team as we grow. As Account Executive you will report to the CRO and will collaborate with counterparts on Anza’s sales team to drive Anza’s overall solar and energy storage pipeline.


Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work closely with our inside sales team to book new business with IPPs, developers, and EPCs, to drive better business outcomes through leveraging our solar and battery design and procurement optimization platform and professional services.
  • Develop strategic and balanced business strategies for target markets and project types in support of growing Anza’s customer base.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales volume targets.
  • Generate new business opportunities through collaboration with existing accounts and independent activities including account profiling, cold calls, business networking and other market penetration strategies.
  • Complete thorough discovery of client technical and commercial objectives, organizational challenges and opportunities to qualify potential accounts.
  • Work with Anza’s Product Team, Solution Engineers and Strategic Sourcing teams to identify the most appropriate solutions to achieve client procurement metrics and be able to clearly present combined technical and financial solutions to clients.

While no one individual will possess them all, the successful candidate will bring many of the following experiences, skills, and attributes:

  • 5 years in the energy and/or renewables industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to spend time in-person with customers and travel frequently in assigned territory (15-20% travel).
  • Strong understanding of bulk electricity system market structure, rules and regulations, and economics, with some proficiency in the engineering and physics of the system.
  • Preferred experience in the commercial or utility scale solar and/or energy storage industry; or, if not, equivalent knowledge and experience in a similar and/or adjacent energy project development context.
