Base Hourly: $15-$18

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Alternate 6 AM-2:30 PM schedule available)

About the Role – What You’ll Be Doing

A Plus Auto LLC is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Freight Shipping Clerk to join our Shipping and Warehouse Department in the Production Division. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for preparing automotive parts for freight shipment to customers, retail buyers, and distributors.

You’ll inspect, pack, secure, and label auto parts — including large and heavy items — to ensure they arrive safely and on time. This position also involves dispatching freight orders, coordinating with carriers, and completing the necessary shipping paperwork.

This is a physically demanding role that requires operating a forklift, handling bulky and fragile items, and staying active throughout the day. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and our ability to deliver high-quality recycled auto parts across the country.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect parts before shipping to ensure there’s no damage not shown in listing photos
• Notify a manager or customer service if new damage is found so it can be resolved with the customer
• Pack each part or secure it to a pallet with protective materials to prevent damage in transit
• Select carriers, dispatch loads, and prepare all required shipping paperwork
• Communicate with customers to resolve freight-related issues (damage, delays, etc.)
• Organize packed orders neatly for carrier pickup
• Ensure all orders are shipped the day of sale or by the following morning

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Forklift experience required (or willingness to obtain certification)
• General knowledge of auto parts and their names (preferred)
• Ability to identify fragile areas of each part and pack accordingly
• Experience with freight order processing and dispatching preferred
• Basic knowledge of logistics and shipping paperwork
• Ability to use packing materials and tie-down methods that reduce the risk of damage
• Familiarity with shipping software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company SOPs

Physical Demands:

• Operate forklift or other approved equipment to move parts up to 1,000 lbs
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for the entire shift
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moderate to heavy physical activity
• Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment
