Overview

The Project Manager owns the customer experience through successful implementation of SaaS projects, leading new implementations and ongoing SOW work by managing both the plan and the cross-functional teams assigned to deliver it. This role requires the ability to manage projects of varying scale and complexity, balancing customer needs with Appriss Retail’s interests. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and able to bridge business and technical solution decisions between the customer and internal teams. 


Essential Duties

  • Own end-to-end delivery for new customer implementations and SOW work, building detailed project plans, driving cross-functional teams to clear milestones, and holding stakeholders accountable to schedule and scope. 
  • Manage scope, issue resolution, and risk across implementations, proactively escalating blockers to CS and Engineering before negative impact on timelines. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout implementation — facilitating status calls, documenting decisions, and translating between business requirements and technical solution design. 
  • Track and report on project health using defined KPIs (on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, scope variance); surface patterns across the portfolio to drive process improvement to implementation methodology and SOW standards. 
  • Identify opportunities for product expansion within assigned customers, working with Sales and Customer Success Managers and handing off with enough context to deliver on them. 
  • Utilize project management skills to support internal cross-functional projects in the role of a project manager as assigned. 


Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent project management experience. 
  • 2+ years project management experience. 
  • 2+ years of SAAS experience. 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong relationship skills, with the ability to work within all levels of an organization. 
  • Track record of managing projects and/or programs in a technology environment (e.g., software company). 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude to correctly gather facts and memorialize them in the appropriate system. 
  • Comfortable working in an ever-changing environment. 
  • Self-direction of day-to-day activities — collaborating with team members to share best practices and experiences. 
  • Exceptional listening skills with the ability to ascertain unspoken needs. 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proven organization and time management skills. 
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Office, or similar). 

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMO Certification. 
  • Retail experience. 
  • Working knowledge of Appriss Retail products.

The pay range for this role is:

110,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Remote)
