About The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to drive cross-functional program execution while delivering strategic, data-driven insights that shape portfolio and investment decisions. This is a hybrid role for someone who thrives at the intersection of science, business, and operations—combining rigorous project management fundamentals with analytical capabilities such as forecasting, scenario modeling, competitive intelligence, and strategic evaluation. You will play a critical role in translating breakthrough science into development-ready programs and ensuring that teams operate with clarity, alignment, and forward momentum.

- Ensure our scientific teams have the structure, alignment, and visibility needed to deliver on high priority R&D milestones.
- Provide leadership with actionable insights that drive portfolio decisions and resource allocation.
- Help build and mature Arbor’s project and portfolio management discipline as the company scales.
Your work will directly accelerate program progress and influence how Arbor invests in its most promising scientific opportunities.
What You Can Expect:
Program & Project Leadership
- Lead planning, execution, and tracking for cross-functional R&D programs, partnering with Research, Development, CMC, Regulatory, Clinical, and other stakeholders.
- Build, own, and maintain integrated program plans, timelines, dependencies, and risk registers.
- Orchestrate core team meetings, governance discussions, and executive updates—providing clarity, surfacing issues early, and enabling timely decisions.
- Proactively identify risks, resource constraints, and trade-offs; recommend mitigation strategies informed by scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Ensure program objectives remain aligned with broader portfolio strategy and corporate priorities.
Business & Strategic Analytics
- Develop and maintain forecasting models for timelines, resources, milestones, probability-adjusted scenarios, and decision paths.
- Conduct competitive intelligence (CI) and landscape monitoring; integrate internal and external insights into program and portfolio recommendations.
- Create dashboards, analyses, and materials that provide leadership with clear, data-driven decision support.
- Partner with program leads and leadership to evaluate program prioritization, investment cases, and strategic options.
Cross-Functional Enablement & Process Excellence
- Serve as a translator between scientific teams and business leadership - distilling complex concepts into clear plans, insights, and narratives.
- Drive consistency in project management tools, templates, and processes; contribute to maturing our PMO and portfolio capabilities.
- Enable a culture of transparency, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You Bring:
Required
- MBA, MS, or equivalent advanced training providing strong analytical and/or financial modeling foundations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related field).
- A minimum of 5 years’ of relevant experience
- Experience working within biotechnology, pharmaceutical R&D, or life sciences.
- Proven project management experience in a complex, fast moving, cross-functional environment.
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities: forecasting, scenario modeling, financial or strategic analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with scientific teams while communicating clearly with nontechnical audiences.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
Preferred
- Background supporting research through early development programs.
- Familiarity with portfolio management, competitive intelligence, or corporate strategy in a biotech setting.
- Experience building dashboards or working with project/portfolio management systems.
