Position: Senior Data Analyst

Openings:  SDA - 6
       

Qualification: UG / PG from a reputed Institution; Hands on Analytics / spreadsheet knowledge (Google suite)

Location: Chennai

Employment Type: Full-time, 

                               Overlapping Shift 1: 3 PM - 12 AM IST (Hybrid)

                               Overlapping Shift 2: 6 PM - 3 AM IST (Hybrid)

 1. Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze assigned exceptions on data using multiple systems and data sources.
  • Conduct detailed research to identify discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies in data.
  • Investigate pre-identified issues and determine appropriate resolutions based on established processes and guidelines.
  • Validate and reconcile information across multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform required data corrections, updates, and adjustments.
  • Calculate, track, and document identified discrepancies and resolution details.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of investigations, actions taken, and outcomes.
  • Ensure assigned work is completed within defined quality, productivity, and turnaround-time targets.
  • Prioritize work based on business requirements, complexity, and established guidelines.
  • Escalate complex, ambiguous, or unresolved issues to the Team Lead with relevant supporting information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, utility providers, and stakeholders when additional information or clarification is required.
  • Identify recurring issues, unusual patterns, and potential process gaps and communicate them to the appropriate team.
  • Follow established processes, controls, quality standards, and data-handling requirements.
  • Participate in quality reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and process training.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to simplify or improve existing workflows.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while handling client and business information.
  • Handle complex and high-impact cases requiring deeper investigation and analysis.
  • Act as a subject-matter resource for Data Analysts and provide guidance on difficult cases.
  • Perform advanced research and reconciliation across multiple systems and data sources.
  • Support Team Leads with complex escalations and issue investigations.
  • Identify recurring trends and provide insights that can help prevent future issues.
  • Conduct peer reviews and support quality improvement activities.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing for new team members.
  • Support process improvement, documentation, and automation initiatives.
  • Provide inputs to Leads on process gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.

2. Our Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for detail-oriented and analytical professionals who enjoy researching problems, working with data, and identifying practical solutions.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Senior Data Analyst: 3–5 years of relevant experience in data operations, data quality, transaction processing, analytics, billing/finance operations, or similar areas.
  • Strong analytical and logical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to investigate issues systematically and identify root causes.
  • Ability to work with large volumes of information and identify discrepancies or patterns.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to learn and work with multiple systems and applications.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly document findings, actions, and resolutions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting quality and turnaround-time expectations.
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Willingness to learn new processes, systems, and business concepts.
  • Ability to independently handle complex and ambiguous cases.
  • Stronger analytical and investigative capabilities.
  • Ability to guide junior analysts on complex issues.
