About the Role

As our customer-focused Product Manager, Medical, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of innovative educational products that empower medical, PA, and DO learners. This role represents the voice of the buyer and plays a critical part in shaping high-impact curriculum content and exam prep experiences that align with the needs of medical students and professionals. Reporting to the Director of Product, You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Content, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales—to define problems, identify opportunities, and deliver exceptional value through digital learning solutions.


What you'll do


  • Identify and define learner and customer market needs through research, stakeholder input, and competitive analysis and turn into strategic solutions.
  • Own product strategy and roadmaps for assigned content and prep product lines—balancing short-term enhancements with long-term vision to meet product-market fit.
  • Lead product discovery initiatives and use insights to inform design and development of learner-centered solutions.
  • Develop compelling business cases, positioning strategies, pricing, and go-to-market plans in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
  • Translate user and customer insights into buyer personas, product requirements, and user journeys.
  • Guide cross-functional teams from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with learner outcomes, institutional needs, and business objectives.
  • Monitor performance metrics, learner feedback, and market signals to iterate and evolve product offerings.
  • Partner with content experts and instructional designers to ensure academic rigor, usability, and compliance.
  • Define and partner with customer advisory members, complementary product organizations, and cross-functional stakeholders.

About you

  • Demonstrable experience in product management or a related role, ideally in medical, PA, DO, EdTech, health care, or curriculum-based SaaS.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategy and outcomes across product lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen ability to synthesize complex information and present in a visually compelling manner.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting strategy and roadmaps to stakeholders across varying levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of user research, market analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Technical aptitude and experience collaborating with engineering and content development teams.
  • Natural collaborator and matrix leader with a bias toward action and quality.
  • Experience managing product profitability and commercial success of products.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in higher education, health sciences, or clinical education markets.
  • Domain expertise in the MD, DO, and / or PA domains.
  • Familiarity with exam prep, licensure requirements, or competency-based learning models.
  • Background working with digital learning platforms or curriculum design tools.
  • Knowledge of the nursing or medical education ecosystem, including learners' journeys and pain points.
  • Strategy and design on B2B, B2B2C, and B2C products.

The pay range for this role is:

105,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Remote (Austin, Texas, US))
