About the Role
As our Staff Accountant reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will be supporting a high performing finance team across daily accounting operations, financial reporting and process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of accounting experience (including internships) and who is eager to learn and grow within a dynamic, high-growth company.
What you'll do
- Record journal entries and perform account reconciliations to maintain the general ledger.
- Support with accounts payable (AP) by processing vendor invoices, preparing payments, and monitoring outstanding balances.
- Assist with accounts receivable (AR) by preparing customer invoices, tracking collections, and resolving discrepancies.
- Help administer payroll in Rippling, ensuring proper setup and processing.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end close process, including schedules and reconciliations.
- Prepare supporting documentation for financial statements, audits, and internal reviews.
- Maintain well-organized accounting files and records.
- Support system workflows in NetSuite, Rippling, Ramp, and HubSpot.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams on day-to-day needs.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience (includes internships or entry-level roles).
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Desire to advance into more senior accounting and finance roles over time.
Bonus Points
- Exposure to ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Exposure to SaaS or EdTech industry

The pay range for this role is:
60,000 - 70,000 USD per year (Remote (Austin, Texas, US))
