What You’ll Do
- Play a fundamental role in shaping the technical direction of the company and identify market opportunities.
- Lead hardware engineering efforts and serve as the technical reference for ML engineers learning chip design
- Set up evaluations, benchmarks, and measurement frameworks to validate that ML models are producing correct hardware designs
- Work closely with ML team to translate hardware requirements and best practices into actionable guidance
- Guide and mentor founding hardware engineers while establishing hardware design methodologies
- Lead client calls to understand customer requirements and translate them for the engineering team
What We’d Like to See
- Degree: PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Chip-team experience: Led multiple tapeouts at chip companies as a senior engineer, director or VP and deep understanding of the end-to-end pre & post silicon design workflow.
- Coding skill: Can be very hands on and lead the team by an example. Ability to code in Python & Bash power user—comfortable writing scripts, data pipelines, or CI/CD around EDA flows
- EDA proficiency: Hands-on with standard Synopsys/Cadence tools (Xcelium, Genus, Innovus, etc.) and associated TCL flows
- Bonus: Prior work on AI-for-chip-design teams (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, NVIDIA ML workflows) or DFT/power-optimization flow experience
