About the role
- Supervisor shall be responsible for the supervision/operation of the local office, supervising child placement activities, casework services, and recruitment/development of foster homes. This position is directly responsible to the foster care program directors.
What you'll do
- A. Management of funds appropriated for the local Supervisor as assigned.
Oversee and process expense reimbursements and monthly expense reconciliations to be sent to the administrative office/foster care program directors.
B. Supervision of local area Foster Care Office and Connected Foster Care staff as assigned.
a. Awareness of casework job responsibilities
b. Weekly supervision of casework staff while being available for consultation as needed.
c. Weekly and monthly monitoring of frontline staff Key Performance Indicators.
c. Coordination and oversight of program services for the local office.
d. Oversee maintenance of child and foster family files in accordance with DCFS policies and licensing standards.
e. Ensure ongoing training requirements of local foster care staff.
f. Provision of services in the absence of caseworkers due to time off, sick leave, vacation, etc.
C. Completion of local Foster Care Office Reports.
a. Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reports shall be completed in a timely and accurate manner.
b. Other reports as requested by the foster care program directors.
D. Public relations activities.
a. Actively recruit new foster families through local churches and organizations.
b. Public speaking on behalf of the agency to church groups, civic organizations, and professional groups.
c. Representation of the agency at conventions, meetings, etc.
d. Author articles and briefs on behalf of the agency when requested by the administration office or supervisor.
The Supervisor position is expected to provide 40 hours per week including evenings and weekends as needed, any overtime must be approved by your supervisor.
Qualifications
- Supervisor shall have a master’s degree or higher in a human service field or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field plus two (2) years of work experience in a child welfare agency
- Two (2) years’ work experience in a child welfare agency
The pay range for this role is:
55,000 - 56,000 USD per year (Connected - Jonesboro (Journey))
