About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design, implement, and manage edge computing solutions that meet our clients' dynamic needs. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate edge computing technologies into business solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. Location
This role is remote and candidates must be based in United Arab Emirates. We are open to expat relocations.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Solution Design: Lead the architecture and design of edge computing solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise on edge platforms, cloud integration, and IoT systems to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Client Engagement: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, translating them into technical requirements and deliverables.
- Integration: Design and oversee the integration of edge systems with cloud services, AI/ML frameworks, and other enterprise systems.
- Scalability and Performance: Ensure edge solutions are optimized for performance, latency, and scalability.
- Security: Incorporate robust security measures into the architecture to protect data and applications at the edge.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed architectural documentation, best practices, and technical guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 7+ years in solution architecture or related roles.
- o 3+ years in designing and implementing edge computing or IoT solutions.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of edge platforms like AWS IoT Greengrass, Microsoft Azure IoT Edge, or Google Anthos.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and their deployment at the edge.
- Understanding of network protocols, 5G, and real-time processing systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid cloud-edge environments like Azure Stack, AWS Outpost or Google Anthos.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or related technologies.
- Knowledge of industry-specific edge computing applications (e.g., manufacturing, healthcare, smart cities).
