About the role

This unpaid internship program is tailored for engineering students seeking to enrich their academic learning with practical, hands-on experience in the field. Interns will collaborate with seasoned engineers and project managers, gaining invaluable insights into real-world applications of engineering principles.
 
UI Engineering Interns will partner with engineers for the designing, implementing, and maintaining our Control Panel User Experience for managing and monitoring edge devices.
 
Responsibilities 
 
As a UI Engineer, you will:
  • Work with technology stacks including: JavaScript, CSS, HTML, React.js, Typescript, Tailwind
  • Collaborate with UX and Product team to create UI components for user workflows and metrics
  • Develop standardized UI components and tools to build UI efficiently.
  • Unit Testing & Test-Driven Development experience
 
Requirements
 
Basic Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or majors relating to these fields
  • One previously completed internship
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, React.js, Typescript, Tailwind
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
  • Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.
