As an Arrow Electric Mechanic, you will work with the Team responsible for keeping the Arrow Machine running, rolling, and operational.  You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Company vehicles, machinery, and equipment.   You will be trusted to work independently while working on a number of different vehicle and equipment types. Your technical expertise and work skills will be critical in helping Arrow achieve our organizational objectives and ensuring customer success and satisfaction!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Uncompromised Safety - Maintains safety awareness and practices Uncompromised safe work behaviors at all times.
  • Coordinate with Equipment Manager details of any repairs (including outside vendors), preventive maintenance, or improvements needed on equipment.
  • Analyze, diagnose, repair, maintain, and operate Company’s fleet of cars, trucks, heavy equipment, tractor/trailers, and other motor vehicles.
  • Isolate cause(s) of malfunction(s), test, and make needed corrective repairs to vehicle and equipment systems, to include power plant, electrical, heating, cooling, power train, transfer cases, brakes, steering, suspension, transmissions.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance.
  • Perform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function.
  • Identify mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Order parts and supplies as needed for required repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain inventories of necessary tools, parts, and equipment for needed repairs and maintenance.
  • Travel to other locations to perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Test drive vehicles and equipment to confirm safe and proper operation.
  • Perform safety and compliance inspections on vehicles and equipment.
  • Fabricate and weld parts and materials according to plans and specifications or as directed by the Equipment Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience maintaining and repairing vehicles, heavy equipment and machinery. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license (CDL A) and clean MVR.
  • Experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools).
  • Must have the ability to access and operate all vehicles and equipment. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with Company team members.
  • Ability to take direction and complete tasks as instructed.
  • High standard of professionalism and customer focus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office.
