About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who is passionate about making an impact in healthcare, and who has the desire and ambition to help build out our network of IoT devices and hybrid infrastructure to create the hospital of tomorrow.

What you'll do
  • Support the engineering team by advising them on best practices for developing and maintaining containerized applications, including Docker image building, managing container registries, and securing containerized environments.
  • Manage and monitor IoT device infrastructure that powers our AI applications.
  • Design, write, and maintain Terraform scripts / Ansible playbooks to manage our infrastructure.
  • Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to streamline deployments.
  • Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters for orchestration of applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues on Linux systems, including performance optimization, security hardening, and diagnosing system-level problems.
  • Monitor the health of all infrastructure and ensure devices are secure from security threats.
  • Build and maintain internal tools for streamlining the software development lifecycle.
  • Work cross-team to ensure alignment and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of DevOps experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive experience administering Debian-based Linux server operating systems, such as Ubuntu, with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
  • Experience managing complex applications via IaC tools in a major public cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and experience with Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Chef, etc.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong self-starter and problem solver, with the ability to proactively identify areas for improvement and solutions without constant direction.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams


Nice to haves
  • Experience managing PostgreSQL, particularly clustered Postgres environments
  • Strong Python experience
