About the role


We are seeking a Clinical Data Engineer who is passionate about making an impact in healthcare, and who is excited to contribute to the development and management of our clinical data integrations to create the hospital of tomorrow.


What you'll do

  • Manage and monitor clinical data systems and integrations across our network of hospitals
  • Act as a key resource and advocate for clinical data and EHR integrations using such technologies as HL7 and FHIR
  • Support and maintain clinical data systems such as PostgreSQL, Mirth, and Kafka
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to EHR transport and storage
  • Work cross-team to ensure alignment and clear communication with stakeholders


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in clinical data systems, EHR integration, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
  • Professional experience in IT, clinical data engineering, or related fields, or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
  • Extensive experience administering relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with Mirth and HL7 integrations
  • Practical knowledge and understanding container technologies (Docker) and virtual computing environments
  • Deep knowledge of Linux administration (Ubuntu preferred)
  • Practical knowledge of and experience with automation and testing in a clinical setting
  • Experience collaborating within a team to support complex technical systems
  • Ensure patient data security while managing appropriate access for stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams


Nice to haves
