The Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Sales Strategy Associate to join our growing team. This role will primarily support the sales organization by building financial models, analyzing loan-level and client-level profitability, developing pricing frameworks, assessing risk, analyzing performance metrics and delivering actionable insights to improve pipeline efficiency and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in real estate financial modeling and combines strong analytical skills with a proactive, hands-on mindset, thriving in a fast-paced startup environment where flexibility and initiative are key.


The Work

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support pricing strategies, loan structuring, and borrower performance analysis in real estate lending transactions.
  • Build Excel-based tools to model complex loan transactions across a variety of client business lines while distilling the complexity into simple, user-friendly tools / reporting that foster clear and transparent client communications.
  • Analyze and provide deep insights into rate and fee structures, revenue recognition, forward cash flows / construction draw activity, leverage, loan duration, cost structures, and other components that drive ROE and ROA.
  • Analyze sales pipeline data and reporting to identify trends, optimize lead conversion rates, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Loan Officers and Sales Leaders to forecast loan volume, revenue projections, and portfolio performance metrics.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Data Analytics team to create dashboards and reports to track performance against sales targets, monitor competitor and market activity, and ensure data integrity across CRM and loan origination platforms.
  • Assist in preparing investor and executive-level presentations, highlighting loan performance trends and market opportunities.
  • Support onboarding and training efforts by providing data insights and sales enablement tools for new loan officers.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry benchmarks to support strategic direction of Sales Organization
  • Recommend automation and process improvements where applicable.
  • Participate in technology build-out of new Loan Origination System.


Your Skills and Experience

  •  3-5 years of experience in financial modeling, sales operations, business analytics, or a related role, ideally within financial services or real estate lending.
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in finance preferred.
  • Proven ability to assess performance targets and analyze goals that drive growth in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills; strongly proficient in Excel with the ability to distill complex data and reports into actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of sales process optimization, lead management, and pipeline efficiency in a high-growth lending context.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability in reporting and process execution.
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats—flexible, resourceful, and eager to take initiative in a startup culture where systems and processes are still evolving.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial drivers and lending performance metrics.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for contributing to a mission-driven, growth-focused company.


The Pay

Salary range is $110,000-$125,000 per year with a discretionary bonus of up to 15% per year


The Work Environment

  • This role works on-site from Ascent's Encino office, Monday - Thursday (Fridays are work-from-home).
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week; must be available for occasional overtime.
  • Some nights and weekends required.

The pay range for this role is:

110,000 - 125,000 USD per year (Los Angeles, CA)
