About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assurance Associate to join our dynamic Assurance Department. In this salaried, full-time position, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional assurance services to an array of clients across various industries. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your proficiency in audit and assurance processes, work in collaboration with experienced professionals, and play an essential part in ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Assurance Associate - Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and performing assurance engagements, including audits, reviews, agreed-upon procedures, and compilations for clients of varying sizes and industries.
- Perform engagement procedures that include auditing accounts and amounts within financial statements and documenting internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP or other applicable standards.
- Prepare audit workpapers, supporting schedules, and documentation in alignment with firm and professional standards.
- Identify and communicate audit issues and findings to senior staff and managers.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting and auditing standards.
Assurance Associate - Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other applicable standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Desire to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
