The person we're looking for

  • We’re looking for an expert in design systems to support and lead our project teams and engage with our clients.

Job Overview

  • Support the creation and maintenance of Design Systems templates and design libraries, ensuring they are structured for efficiency and scalability, and maintain organized structures and consistent naming conventions to promote clarity and usability across design elements. 
  • Participate in audits to identify gaps in Design Systems work within our project teams, and make actionable recommendations for improvements to enhance processes and system growth.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on best practices and help teams apply these standards to their Design Systems.
  • Help coach the team through the proper use of tooling in the context of Design Systems development.
  • Be a role model, and hold the team to Athlon's quality standards.
  • Support the team and their project work by sharing your expert knowledge.
  • Ensure the use of strong storytelling / narratives in client presentations to emphasize user-centered design, helping clients see the value in our recommendations.
  • Lead project teams in activities that impress our client teams, and open doors to new opportunities within these client relationships.
  • Actively participate in the studio culture, helping us maintain our creative and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving  
  • Excellent communication  / feedback skills
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast ­paced environment 
  • Proactive and positive attitude 
  • Active interest to learn and develop
  • Comfortable working with clients
