Atlas Data Storage is revolutionizing the field of information technology by innovating DNA Data Storage solutions. At Atlas we are developing a massively parallel high-throughput semiconductor based information storage technology by leveraging the unique properties of synthetic DNA. We are seeking a Research Associate (RA) who will be involved in research and development activities towards developing the company’s proprietary Enzymatic DNA synthesis on semiconductor chips. The position will support reagent development, characterization and QC of regagents, as well as on-chip DNA synthesis. This is a full-time bench position and the person will be expected to work closely with other scientists and engineers of the group to provide support for planning and execution of experiments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Reagent development for Enzymatic DNA synthesis, including but not limited to production, purification and formulation of modified nucleotides
● QC and stability study of various reagents and buffers using HPLC, LC-MS and other related instruments
● Performing Enzymatic DNA synthesis on automated instrument platform
Qualifications
● Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related Biotech field
● BS with 2 - 4 years of industry experience at biotechnology, biopharmaceutical companies or related industries
● Experience in various techniques in multistep organic synthesis and purification
● Experience in HPLC and LC-MS analysis, UV-Vis and Fluorescence spectrometer
● Experience with molecular biology tools, like PCR, hybridization and NGS library prep is a plus
● Ability to work seamlessly with other team members in a dynamic and fast paced environment
● Ability and interest to learn new techniques and willingness to contribute for the overall success of the project

The pay range for this role is:
80,000 - 115,000 USD per year (HQ)
