What you'll do
Prepare and fabricate pipe spools, up to 10inch;
Cut, roll, shape, bend, mold, spin, heat, or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or subassemblies;
Set up and operate hand and machine tools, torches, and welding equipment;
Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining by welding or bolting;
Review detailed drawings and specifications, setting up material and equipment per job;
Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and notify supervisor of defects or needed repairs;
Safely rig and lift pipe spools as required by fabrication;
Required qualifications
3+ years of metalwork experience;
Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and characteristics to perform duties of this role;
Experience using MIG, TIG, and FCAW procedures to tack/weld pipe and plate per ASME and AWS codes;
Physically capable of handling heavy materials, tools, and machines up to 50lbs;
Must obtain the necessary training and certification prior to operating any equipment;
Ability or willingness to learn how to place components such as pumps, heat exchangers, pipe spools and pressure vessels onto frames by welding or bolting;
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors;
Must maintain a valid driver's license for transportation to and from work;
Good hand-eye coordination;
Ability to work in a team environment;
Ability to work independently with little direction when applicable;
Ability to meet attendance schedule consistently;
Experience, ability and/or willingness to be trained to operate a Forklift;
Experience, ability and/or willingness to be trained to operate a crane;
Adherence to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment;
Pipe fitting certification;
6G Stainless TIG Test;
Proficient in welding brass and copper;
Extensive knowledge of fabrication processes;
Experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, and steel desired;
The pay range for this role is:
25 - 31 USD per hour (Forge Campus)
