What you'll do
Lead team of field engineers in operating pilot units;
Assist R&D team with product development and testing;
Troubleshoot operation of pilots using engineering expertise and collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure pilot up time;
Assist Project Deployment Manager to commission, operate, and service our pilot at New Belgium Brewing and subsequent pilot deployments, including Europe-based pilots;
Provide engineering support to Project Deployment Manager to develop maintenance plans and schedules, service manuals, and field service plans;
Work with Product, R&D, and Manufacturing Teams to improve product offerings;
Support development, fabrication, and testing of pilot and product units;
Support prototype testing, physical twin performance, and reliability testing
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field;
2+ years of experience leading a team of field engineers;
5+ years of experience in process engineering field operations, with a focus on thermal or HVAC systems;
Experience with the testing, debugging thermal or HVAC systems;
Proficiency in reading P&IDs and electrical schematics;
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer;
Ability to work on customer sites;
Strong problem-solving and communication skills;
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
MS or PhD in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering, or related field;
10+ years of experience developing thermal systems and components;
Experience in the HVAC and/or boiler industries;
Familiarity with specialized simulation software such as Engineering Equation Solver, Aspen Plus, Matlab/Simulink, or HTRI;
Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar
The pay range for this role is:
115,000 - 130,000 USD per year (Fort Collins, CO)
