The Role:
Technical Accounting is the financial and data backbone of Augment Risk. This role blends analytical discipline with operational precision - ensuring that every settlement, BDX process, cash movement, and client-money function is executed accurately. You will strengthen financial rigor, enhance reporting clarity, and support brokers, analytics, and clients with insights that drive stronger commercial and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead IBA responsibilities including premium allocations, brokerage handling, and initiation of settlements.
Manage BDX & Data Management processes, ensuring reconciliation, validation, and integration with the Data Lake.
Oversee Client Money Handling (OA) to ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
Deliver accurate Accounting & Post-Placement MI, including reconciliations, premium tracking, credit control, and financial reporting.
Monitor reinsurer and client performance with structured data controls, enabling insights for analytics, brokers, and client success teams.
Partner with Finance, Operations, and Client Solutions to drive accuracy, SLA adherence, and financial process improvement.
Experience:
Experience in (re)insurance accounting, IBA operations, BDX processing, or client-money governance.
Deep understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong analytical capability with comfort using financial or reporting systems.
Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with structured data.
