About the role

The Production Line Operator is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by performing a variety of tasks on the production line, including feeding, filling, labeling, packing, capping, palletizing, sealing, and inspecting products.

What you'll do

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe work area and observe all company safety regulations and procedures, including wearing all required personal protective equipment; report any safety issue to appropriate personnel.
• Perform manual operations such as line feeder, filling, labeling, packing, capping, palletizing, sealing, and inspecting.
• Perform quality inspections during production and immediately report any non-standard issues to the Production Manager and Quality team members.
• Continually observe products and materials being used and reject any substandard products, materials or packages not in compliance with SOP’s and GMP’s.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in immediate work area at all times and assist in ongoing assigned clean-up. Duties may include mopping, wiping down surfaces, cleaning windows, or other task related to line change over.
• Assist with total line changeovers.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and legibly.
• Follow instructions and document accurate calculations for completing batch documentation.
• Maintain reliable attendance, including overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

·        Effective communication with strong written and verbal skills

·        High attention to detail with accuracy and keen observation

·        Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment

·        Ability to conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with SOPs and GMPs

·        Understanding of safety regulations and emergency response procedures

·        Accurate record-keeping and completion of batch documentation

·        Consistent attendance and dependable work habits

·        Physical ability to perform tasks and lift up to 50 pounds

Education and Experience:

·        High School diploma or GED preferred

·        Must be 18 years old

·        Successful background and Drug screen required

Physical Requirements:

·        Required to work Mon-Thursday, 10hr shift from 7:00am-5:30pm *Mandatory OT as required

·        Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds, possibly above shoulder level.

·        Push or Pull up to 100 pounds with assistance.

·        While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fragrances or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts.
