About the role

The Lab technician is responsible for performing routine and non-routine laboratory tests by preparing samples, operating laboratory instrumentation, recording data, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring accuracy of results within a laboratory setting, following safety protocols and guidelines; their duties may include sample collection, equipment calibration, preparing and reviewing documentation, and completing quality release. Onsite work hours are Monday - Thursday (10 hours).

What you'll do

  • Collect, receive, label, and/or analyze samples using the correct methods and testing equipment.
  • Execute testing in line with standard operating procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings.
  • Record all experimental data and test results accurately and in the specified format.
  • Ensure that safety guidelines are adhered to at all times within the workspace.
  • Ensure documentation is completed in an accurate manner according to FDA guidelines.
  • Clean and maintain equipment.
  • Order lab supplies.
  • Review production records and finished goods for accuracy and conformance.
  • Complete paperwork and enter data in inventory control software based on inspections, document review, final release, and other processes.
  • Complete invoice reconciliation for outsourced testing.
  • Complete additional inspections when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of FDA Drug Manufacturing Regulations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and database systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

The pay range for this role is:
