About the role


The Quality Assurance Technician performs a variety of quality assurance processes in an on-site manufacturing environment, including preparation and review of documentation, sampling, in-process inspecting, testing, and releasing product, dispositioning nonconformance's, documenting customer complaints, and following Good Manufacturing Practices in all aspects of job duties.


What you'll do

Responsibilities will vary over time depending on the needs of the department. Job-specific training is provided. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


Issuance of paperwork for manufacturing of product.

Compilation and review of production records for accuracy and conformance.  

Sampling and inspections of raw materials and finished goods.

Conducting in-house testing and sending items off for testing to ensure conformance.

Completing paperwork and entering data in inventory control software based on inspections, document review, final release, and other processes.

Inspecting and dispositioning nonconforming product and returned goods and document the results of the disposition.

Generating reports as requested based on quality data.

Communicating with customers regarding complaints and/or adverse reactions.  Documenting complaints and generating reports as needed.

Reviewing and generating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

Performing in-process inspections

  • College degree preferred.

Schedule:

This is a full-time on-site position in Swannanoa, NC. Work hours are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday - Thursday.


Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of working on a computer.

Long walks through the warehouse and the production rooms.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Must be able to operate pallet jack.

Use of standard office equipment.
