Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Adolescent Behavioral Health

Avery's House is a substance abuse & mental health treatment provider for adolescents, seeking an experienced, dependable, and responsible LPN. Experience working with adolescents is preferred, and any additional experience with mental health and substance abuse is beneficial. The nurse is responsible for direct oversight of the nursing department including any BHT providers in addition to oversight of storage and distribution of medications to clients, and serves as the primary liaison between clients, clinicians and the Medical Director. They monitor vitals of clients and alert the Medical Director and Clinical Director to any medical concerns and recommend plans of action.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vitals

● Conduct nursing and health assessments upon admission

● Oversee medication administration

● Oversight of any LPN providers including review of documentation/assessments

● Training on Medication Assisted Self Administration

● Training on opioid effects and intervention/support management

● Implementation of physician orders

● Clinical EMR charting and documentation according to licensing and accreditation standards

● Observe and assess client changes

● Oversee medication management according to a physician’s orders

● Consult with the clinical staff

  • Provide support for adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues.
  • Implement facility rules
  • Other tasks as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

● Current LPN license in Idaho in good standing

● Experience in a psychiatric and or addiction treatment center

● The ability to work with clientele in a compassionate manner

● Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

● Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skills

● Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills

● Experience with inpatient or ambulatory detoxification protocols a plus

● Knowledge of medication interactions

● Knowledge of nutrition and holistic treatments preferred

  • REQUIRED: Must be minimum 21 years of age.
  • REQUIRED: Must pass background check.
  • REQUIRED: Must pass drug screening.
  • REQUIRED: Must be able to climb up and down stairs, hills, bend and lift 25+lbs
  • REQUIRED: Valid and current Driver's License
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred- will be required to obtain)
  • Current TB test (will be required to obtain)


Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for a Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday 7am to 7pm shift.
