Role:
As a Design Engineer HV – Electrical, you shall be able to do:
- The basic electrical design of circuit breaker analysing the dielectric clearances and,
- Define the circuit breaker parts and its clearances for mechanical designer to analyse
- Analyse the coupled field phenomenon of arc chamber and gaseous dielectric behaviour in dynamic condition
- Define the type test requirements for each component of DTCB as per IEEE / IEC
- Define Qualification requirements of the parts and assembly as per the design to meet the type test and routine test performance.
Responsibilities:
As a Design Engineer HV – Electrical, you shall:
- Define design parameters as per the IEEE / IEC Type tests of DTCB.
- Perform basis study / analysis for DTCB such as Dielectric analysis, Coupled field analysis, EMTP etc.,
- Understand and define the dielectric and electrical clearances of HV parts
- Define the Type test program for DTCB to qualify for IEEE / IEC and customers specific requirements
- Assess the process or issues during manufacturing and provide appropriate guidance to the team
- Review the customer requirements and assess the suitability and adaptability to meet the requirements to the fullest
Desirable Qualification:
- Master’s / bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 3-5 Years of experience in HV circuit breaker design involving basic study / analysis.
- Proficiency in analysis software such as ANSYS, COMSOL, EMTP, ETAP etc.,
- Good knowledge on Type test regime for DTCB / HVCB as per IEEE / IEC
- Good knowledge / exposure to manufacturing and qualification process of HV Products.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional team to guide and support them on basic clarifications regarding product and tests.
Additional Requirement:
- Ability and willingness to travel 20%.
- Good communication skills
