Summary:
Bamboo Health is building a team of compassionate clinicians and leaders committed to improving care access to those in most need. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, healthcare project manager who can bridge clinical, operational, and technical workstreams across provider and payor organizations. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery—from initial scoping through go-live and post-launch stabilization—to ensure timely, high-quality deployments that drive improved patient access to behavioral health care. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of healthcare delivery knowledge, relationship management skills, and project execution discipline, with the ability to coordinate across clinical, operational, and technical teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the full implementation lifecycle for new provider or payor partners, ensuring all milestones, deliverables, and outcomes are met on time and within scope.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, including health systems, provider networks, and payors.
- Facilitate alignment across cross-functional teams (clinical operations, product, engineering, and data).
- Partner with internal operations and clinical teams to define workflows, staffing models, referral pathways, and escalation processes tailored to each partner’s needs.
- Collaborate with data integration and IT teams to enable connectivity with EHRs, care management platforms, and analytics tools.
- Guide partners through workflow changes, training, and adoption planning to ensure smooth go-live transitions.
- Maintain project plans and status reports, as well as risks and issues logs.
- Communicate progress, dependencies, and mitigation plans to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Capture lessons learned and feedback to refine implementation methodology and accelerate future rollouts.

- Complete onboarding and shadow active implementations to understand Bamboo Health’s workflows and partner models.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and begin contributing to smaller-scale projects.
- Begin incorporating AI-supported tools into your day-to-day work—whether through analysis, documentation, or task management.
In 6 months…
- Independently lead multiple implementation projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Refine workflows and project tracking tools to improve visibility and partner experience.
In 12 months…
- Drive strategic, high-impact implementations and lead cross-functional retrospectives.
- Influence product and operational enhancements through partner feedback and data insights.
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor internally and externally, contributing to Bamboo Health’s mission and growth.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in healthcare project or program management, preferably with exposure to behavioral health, care coordination, or population health - ideally in technology enabled services.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven success leading implementations or partnerships involving provider organizations, payors, or health IT vendors.
- Experience with EHR integrations, referral management workflows, or value-based care initiatives strongly preferred.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated scrappiness and project management acumen, coupled with a strong desire to be hands-on with respect to executing/implementing new partnerships.
- Strongly empathetic with a keen desire to reduce barriers to behavioral health and social services for the underserved.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including clinicians, administrators, and C-level executive.
- Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or role-specific tools) to improve daily workflows.
- A forward-thinking, curious mindset with an openness to experimenting with new technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and creativity in designing solutions.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions.
- The ability to travel periodically for work.
