We are seeking a motivated and client-focused individual for the role of Product Owner with a focus on reporting. The role supports product growth and development and involves creating and maintaining internal and external product documentation. A passion for data-driven products and comprehensive product ownership will be crucial to success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Bamboo Health’s products, markets, and customers, with a specific focus on Controlled Substance data.
  • Act as the primary product contact for clients, emphasizing reporting deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand and fulfill reporting needs, balancing external stakeholder voices with Bamboo Health’s strategic initiatives and agreed Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Utilize Jira to create, manage, and track tasks and projects, ensuring timely and efficient progress.
  • Create and maintain thorough internal and external product documentation, including user guides and data dictionaries.
  • Present draft and final reports to external stakeholders, clearly explaining the decisions and rationale behind them.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure features meet defined requirements and standards.
  • Provide training and support to users and stakeholders on new product features and functionalities.
  • Work with the Product Manager to manage and prioritize the backlog, articulating prioritization factors and highlighting concerns about missed deliverables.
  • Dedicate most of your time to scoping and delivering reporting deliverables that align with the product roadmap, strategic direction, and existing SOW.

What Success Looks Like…
In 3 months:
  • You have access to all necessary data, reporting, and project documentation. You are beginning to understand client needs and can participate in client conversations with support.
  • You are creating draft documentation for existing reports and are comfortable presenting and explaining this documentation to stakeholders.
  • You are taking ownership of JIRA ticket creation and tracking reporting deliverables, highlighting when progress is stalled.
  • You have a deep understanding of the SOW and work closely with the Product Manager to align reporting tasks with committed deliverables.

In 6 months:

  • You are a primary product voice in key client reporting demonstrations and conversations, proactively answering reporting-related queries.
  • You consistently create and maintain high-quality internal and external-facing reporting documentation.
  • You understand task prioritization and its implications. Along with the Product Manager, you clearly articulate prioritization reasons and the risk/reward of decisions, understanding their impact on schedule, deliverables, and reporting quality.
  • You are well-versed in existing SOWs and understand your role in project phase development and launch.

In 12 months:
  • You confidently answer questions related to all reporting aspects of the project, understanding data limitations and articulating feasibility and concerns professionally.
  • You lead external stakeholders through new reporting, gather feedback, and determine next steps (and effort) based on their input, finding middle ground when necessary.
  • You seamlessly translate client requirements into actionable tasks for internal teams.

What You Need:
  • A four-year degree in a related field with a strong interest in data-driven problem-solving, or professional experience in product management with a focus on data-driven healthcare solutions.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of judgment, analytical ability, and creativity in solving problems that require original and innovative solutions.
