Senior Product Manager

This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives on working directly with clients and helping them understand data insights. As a Sr. Product Manager, you will collaborate with a team of industry experts to address product-related inquiries and contribute to the development of new data solutions, particularly related to Controlled Substance data. You will support product growth and development by presenting findings to stakeholders, responding to questions about the data, and deepening your knowledge of our products and the relationships between various internal and external data sets. This position leverages your prior product management experience, along with a client-focused approach and interest in developing and influencing new data-driven products.
 
What You’ll Do:
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Bamboo Health’s products, markets, and customers, with a particular emphasis on Controlled Substance data.
  • Serve as a primary product point of contact for clients, emphasizing clear, effective, and professional communication.
  • Utilize your extensive experience to proactively anticipate client needs, address concerns, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Identify areas of concern in product development, drawing on your seasoned perspective to provide insightful and practical suggestions for improvement and a path to success.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, focusing on timely delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Seamlessly translate client requirements into actionable tasks for internal teams, ensuring alignment, understanding, and optimal outcomes.
  • Utilize your understanding of product development to create and manage JIRA tickets. Ensure that project deliverables are tracked efficiently and completed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with the project Executive Director to draft comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW), ensuring that all agreed-upon items are feasible and align with project deliverables.
  • Develop and articulate the product vision and strategy, aligning with company goals, previously agreed upon project phase deliverables, and market needs.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and quality assurance testing.
  • Support the creation of product documentation alongside Product Owners including, but not limited to, specifications, user guides, and data dictionaries.
  • Recommend and find middle ground with key stakeholders. Utilize your negotiation skills to represent the needs of the majority while still positively representing Bamboo Health’s core values, abilities, and strategic direction.
  • Provide regular and transparent product updates to Bamboo Health leadership on project status, hurdles, and potential areas of concern.
  • Immerse yourself in the daily responsibilities of the job, dedicating most of your time to working directly with clients and keeping the team aligned with the product roadmap, strategic direction, and existing SOW.
 
What Success Looks Like…
In 3 months:
  • You have access to all necessary data, reporting, and project documentation. You have read all signed contracts (Master Service Agreement (MSA), SOWs, etc.) and are beginning to understand the needs of the clients. You can participate in client conversations with support.
  • You actively attend and participate in standing meetings, contributing valuable insights and building trust with key stakeholders. You collaborate with existing project resources and are taking ownership of product lifecycle tasks, including creating and managing JIRA tickets, ensuring projects are on track.
  • You are working closely with the project Executive Director to draft initial Statements of Work (SOWs) for ongoing and upcoming projects.
 
In 6 months:
  • You are taking ownership of day-to-day meetings, requests, and questions, while relying on your teammates for subject matter expertise.
  • You are a primary voice in key client conversations and a leader for Bamboo Health on the overall project.
  • You are well-versed in existing SOWs and can lead cross-functional teams in the development and launch of project phases.
  • You can proactively anticipate, and address client needs and concerns. You deliver solutions based on a thorough understanding of the requirements and offer accepted workarounds in situations of disagreement or misalignment.
 
In 12 months:
  • You can confidently answer most questions related to the project. You understand the limitations of the data and can speak to feasibility and potential concerns in a clear and professional manner.
  • You seamlessly translate client requirements into actionable tasks for internal teams, ensuring optimal outcomes and alignment with project SOW.
  • You have established yourself as a trusted advisor to clients, consistently delivering effective solutions and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
 
What You Need:
  • A four-year degree in a related field plus a strong interest in problem-solving with data or professional experience in product management with a strong interest in data-driven solutions and business problems for healthcare.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in product management with a proven ability to understand data and have executed on large-scale data-driven projects (>$1M).
  • Experience and comfort in interpreting data through hands-on use of Power BI, Tableau, or Excel pivot tables.
  • Experience in utilizing product development processes and tools. Comfort in utilizing JIRA, Confluence, and other project management and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management from concept to launch. Experience in developing and articulating product vision and strategy to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high level of judgment, analytical ability, and creativity in investigating problems that require original and innovative solutions.
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently. Can effectively manage tasks and drive projects forward without constant oversight or direction.
  • Strong self-awareness and proactive communication, including negotiation and the ability to reach a compromise in a dynamic group.
  • A work environment that is conducive to high-quality virtual interactions. This includes but is not limited to being able to work from a quiet space with minimal interruptions or distractions and a strong internet connection.
  • The ability to travel periodically for work.
