Summary:
We’re seeking a Product Designer to take ownership of end-to-end design execution for moderately scoped features and improvements across our desktop and mobile platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business goals into intuitive, user-centered solutions. Your work will contribute to the evolution of our design system, enhance complex workflows, and explore opportunities to integrate AI and automation into the user experience.
You’ll be expected to lead design initiatives with growing independence, participate in research and discovery activities, and advocate for consistency and usability across the product suite. Success in this role means becoming a trusted design partner, delivering high-quality work, and helping shape the future of healthcare technology through thoughtful, scalable design.
What you’ll do:
· Own end-to-end design execution for moderate-scope product features, flows, and improvements.
· Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand problems and deliver clear, user-centered solutions.
· Translate user needs and business goals into intuitive interfaces across desktop and mobile products.
· Participate in planning sessions and team processes, bringing a design point of view into product and technical discussions.
· Contribute to and help maintain our design system and patterns, balancing consistency with usability across the Bamboo Health product suite.
· Use a range of methods (user feedback, research, prototypes, data, etc.) to validate and refine ideas.
· Translate complex workflows into usable interfaces across desktop and mobile products.
· Communicate design intent clearly to engineers through specs, handoff tools, and active collaboration.
· Explore opportunities to enhance workflows through AI or automation tools.
What success looks like…
In 3 months:
· Familiarize yourself with Bamboo Health’s product suite, customer needs, and design system.
· Take ownership of a medium-scope design project and drive it from discovery through delivery with guidance.
· Build strong working relationships with your product and engineering counterparts.
· Begin incorporating AI-supported tools into your day-to-day work, whether through analysis, documentation, or task management.
In 6 months:
· Lead multiple design initiatives across products with moderate complexity and increasing independence.
· Actively contribute to design critiques, design roadmap planning, and design system maintenance.
· Identify areas of overlap across teams and advocate for consistency and reusability in design patterns.
In 12 months:
· Own the full experience for a product area or core feature set and be recognized as a dependable, go-to designer for a key product surface or area.

· Lead discovery and research activities with some direction, synthesizing insights into actionable design decisions.
· Help improve internal workflows (e.g., documentation, feedback loops, or sharing learnings from research).
· Build lightweight research practices or frameworks that are reused across the design team.
· Contribute to AI-supported experience ideas that improve efficiency and user outcomes within your product area.
What you’ll need:
· 2–5 years of experience in UX or product design for web and mobile applications.
· A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work, especially in complex workflows or systems.
· Ability to manage projects with moderate ambiguity and drive them to completion with guidance.
· Proficiency with Figma for interface design, prototyping, and documentation.
· Experience working with or contributing to design systems.
· Familiarity with accessibility, interaction design, and UX best practices.
· Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to give and receive feedback constructively.
· Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or design-specific tools) to improve daily workflows.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and creativity in designing solutions.
· Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments.
· Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions.
· The ability to travel periodically for work.
