We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to lead our beverage program. The Bancroft is a refined, high-energy fine dining environment. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives on creativity, precision, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Our bar program features elevated craft cocktails, a thoughtfully curated wine list, and a diverse beer selection.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the bar and restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and staffing.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary restaurant environment.
- Maintain excellent customer service and respond to customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic.
- Exude a high level of hospitality to our guests and employees.
- Hires, trains and develops new hourly team members.
- Optimizes profits by building sales and assisting with the control of labor and beverage costs.
- Provides leadership and direction to all team members - coaches in real time.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Bar Manager, with a minimum of 2 years in a fine dining environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and staffing
- Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant technology
- Craft cocktail, wine and beer knowledge a must
- Ability for stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
