Founded in 1972, T Bar M Racquet Club has served as the premier private members tennis and racquet Club for Texas and the greater southwest region. It is internationally recognized as a best-in-class training facility for competitive, professional, semi-professional and social tennis for adults and children, while also offering a range of health and wellness amenities, including a gym, chiropractic and sports medicine services and group fitness classes.
In June 2022, Dallas-based WoodHouse acquired T Bar M and is renovating and enhancing the property, creating a world-class racquet Club. The evolved Club will house the classic tennis club and facilities in a fresh new environment. The Club’s brand and amenities will continue to cater to individuals and families in search of a social and communal anchor that is grounded in an active, health and wellness-focused mindset.
The new Banner House at T Bar M will include 21 tennis courts (8 indoor courts, 3 Euro red clay courts and 14 outdoor courts), 2 padel courts, 8 pickleball courts, retail/pro shop, a resort style pool, taqueria, private events, lounges, restaurant and bar. In addition to these amenities there is a 12,000 SF Fitness Center with best-in-class training equipment and state of the art locker rooms, including a cold plunge, dry sauna and hot tub. Paired with the new Club house and Fitness offerings is a full service Wellness, Spa and Chiropractic offering with 6 treatment rooms for massage/facials, IV’s, injectables and 3 chiropractic rooms for adjustments, soft tissue therapy, needling, and more.
About The Role
As a Cocktail Server, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service by taking orders, serving drinks and food, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our members, while maintaining a fast pace and attention to detail.
What You'll Do
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, take drink and food orders, and provide recommendations when necessary.
- Accurately serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Ensure proper garnishing, glassware, and presentation.
- Serve appetizers, entrees, and desserts when applicable, ensuring that orders are delivered in a timely and courteous manner.
- Have thorough knowledge of the cocktail menu, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer guests' questions and make recommendations.
- Keep tables, bar areas, and surrounding areas clean and tidy throughout the shift. Clear empty glasses, plates, and other items as necessary.
- Suggest additional drinks, specials, or food items to increase sales and enhance the guest experience.
- Foster a positive and friendly atmosphere by interacting with guests in a professional, respectful, and personable manner. Address any concerns or special requests promptly.
- Accurately process payments, handle cash, credit cards, and tips according to the restaurant’s procedures.
- Work closely with bartenders, fellow servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all guests are of legal drinking age and comply with all alcohol-related regulations and policies.
- Help with restocking supplies, such as napkins, straws, and garnishes, to maintain smooth operations.
- Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring that both yourself and the guests are always safe. Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in serving, bartending, or in a hospitality-related role preferred but not required.
- A basic understanding of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktail preparation, and standard bar tools.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and coworkers.
- Ability to take orders accurately, ensure the correct items are delivered, and maintain the quality of service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor with a passion for customer service.
- TABC for handling alcohol or willingness to obtain it.
