About the role
We are seeking an ambitious, driven, and forward-thinking Marketing Associate to join our elite Brand, Marketing, and Strategic Communications Team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Associate is responsible for content generation of marketing materials, managing website content, supporting email marketing strategy and execution, managing marketing automation in BARR’s CRM, Hubspot, and providing general marketing support. The Marketing Associate is a critical role in positioning BARR as the industry thought leader, driving demand generation, and supporting BARR’s B2B sales pipeline.

Associate Accountability 

  • Content generation of marketing materials (website, case studies, blog writing, fact sheets, slide decks, digital ad campaign copy, videos); 

  • Support for email marketing strategy to attract new clients and engage current clients;

  • Write engaging email copy for key stakeholder audiences at various stages of the customer journey funnel;

  • Managing Hubspot workflows and emails;

  • Support for thought leadership efforts including whitepapers, e-books, etc.;

  • Oversee website content management and website updates;

  • Interviewing clients and BARR subject matter experts (SMEs) for content generation (case studies, BARR podcast, and video series); 

  • Manage and update collection of brand assets and marketing material; and,

  • Provide general marketing team support including assisting the Marketing Manager, Events & Brand Experience, with occasional event-related needs.


Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in marketing or communications

  • Exceptional content writer with the ability to communicate complex, technical topics in simple ways

  • Knowledge and understanding of AP Style

  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience writing to achieve SEO KPIs

  • Experience with Hubspot and WordPress

  • Experience designing brand assets in design tools like Canva or similar 

  • Marketing data reporting and analysis experience preferred

  • Must be a team player, passionate about the BARR mission, and have an innovative mindset

  • Must be a self-starter, willing to take initiative to support team and company goals

  • Great communication and collaboration skills across multiple cross-functional teams

  • Problem solver and analytically oriented

  • Familiarity with remote-work communication tools like Zoom and Slack 

  • Cybersecurity or technology experience preferred but not required

The pay range for this role is:

47,000 - 63,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
