About the role
The Inside Sales Representative maintains and expands relationships with independent
manufacturers’ representatives and customers specific to products within the Exitronix, Trace*lite,
SpecialtyLED and Growlite brands. Responsible for driving sales by providing exceptional customer
service through pricing initiatives and follow-up. Represents the brands to become knowledgeable in
industry code and competition to educate, train, sell and support our contracted representatives and
customers.

- Establish productive professional relationships with key personnel of rep agencies and
- customers.
- Create and record requested job quotes and stock quotes for reps and direct customers.
- Perform Job Crosses and Value Engineering to create greater opportunities and larger
- quotes.
- Utilize Zoho to record, track and follow-up on quotes and deal opportunities.
- Review RVP and other company personnel notes in Zoho to make targeted sales calls.
- Log all customer interactions in Zoho. Including but not limited to phone calls, tasks
- and quotes.
- Create Inverter Quotes from crosses and customer supplied specifications.
- Use product knowledge to create SLP quotes when requested or opportunities arise.
- Assist the Growlite team as needed in creating and sending off quotes.
- Make outgoing prospecting calls to create quoting and order opportunities.
- Generate customer specific selling tools, like Hot Sheets, to assist in selling of Barron product.
- Identify applications and requests for nonstandard products and submit SMRs as needed.
- Submit layout requests as needed to meet customer needs.
- Stay up to date on new products and be able to recommend and discuss with customers.
- Discuss promos when speaking with reps and customers.
- Meet assigned targets for sales profitability and strategic customer objectives.
- Analyze and maintain profitability of product and customers on a consistent basis.
- Communicate pricing issues, lost sales, customer feedback and ordering information with Management and Regional Vice Presidents.
- Adhere to the expectation of stellar customer service requirements, responding to
- customer requests in a timely fashion while responding fully and accurately to inquiries.
- Educate customers and guide them to the proper solution.
- Work with customers to develop case studies, references, and testimonials.
- Be familiar with and utilize all Company resources in support of the customer and to grow sales.
- Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including, support, service and management resources, to meet sales performance objectives and customer expectations.
- Track and participate in educational events to maintain a high level of knowledge of industry news, happenings, and legislation.
- Assist in research and development strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities and direct marketing for brand development and customer growth.
- Collaborate with Marketing Specialists to create follow up strategies after field calls, trade shows or events where mass communication may be necessary.
- Help with service-related tasks as needed.
- Complete and log outbound calls to generate sales and develop/increase relationships with current customers.
- Logging of customer interactions in Zoho for visibility and tracking purposes.
- Follow up on leads provided by field representative, marketing, and/or trade show follow up.
- Quote customers and/or reps to meet profitability expectations of the Company while meeting target prices for the opportunity.
- Up-sell and cross-sell to offer complete family of products.
- Work with Marketing to create custom marketing campaigns for specific buying groups or customers.
- Research products to ensure full understanding of selling features and abilities.
- Interact with peers professionally regarding order status, credit terms, and shipping information.
- Answer incoming sales calls professionally and answer stock, pricing, or service related questions.
- Understand and adhere to Company policies regarding pricing, customer warranty, RMA, credit and all other procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Sales and Customer Service atmosphere.
- 2 years of experience in financial services or sales atmosphere with quotas, metrics, or goals with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of success.
- Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.
The pay range for this role is:
56,800 - 65,000 USD per year (Glendale)
