Beehive is committed to grow and advance the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role will be located at our Knoxville, Tennessee facility.
We are seeking a Machine Maintenance Supervisor to lead a growing team of maintenance technicians in support of our production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical ability combined with leadership skills to ensure uptime, quality, and safety of our additive and post-processing equipment. This is a key role in building a reliable and scalable maintenance function.
Responsibilities:
· Team Leadership & Development
o Supervise a team of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts or work areas.
o Provide day-to-day direction, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of maintenance work orders.
o Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring new maintenance team members.
o Promote a safety-first, quality-driven culture on the shop floor.
· Maintenance Execution
o Lead troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control issues on additive manufacturing and support equipment.
o Ensure proper execution of preventive maintenance schedules and corrective actions.
o Maintain documentation of work performed, equipment logs, and parts usage.
o Support calibration and maintenance of critical systems (e.g., gas handling, chillers, vacuum systems).
· Operational Support
o Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime and ensure efficient workflows.
o Support installation and commissioning of new equipment as the factory grows.
o Assist in implementing and optimizing CMMS tools and work order systems.
· Continuous Improvement
o Identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices, reduce unplanned downtime, and increase technician effectiveness.
o Participate in root cause analysis (RCCA) activities and corrective action implementation.
