Beehive Industries is dedicated to Powering American Defense by revolutionizing the design, development, and delivery of jet propulsion systems to support the warfighter. Through the integration of additive manufacturing, the company aims to meet the growing and urgent needs for unmanned aerial defense by dramatically improving a jet engine’s speed to market, fuel efficiency, and cost. 
 
Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio. Beehive is committed to grow and advance the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role will be located at our Loveland, Ohio facility.


 

 


Overview:

 

The Vice President, Product Management reports to the Chief Product Officer and has overall responsibility for propulsion product planning and program execution. The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of DoD business practices and program requirements including FAR Part15.

 

 

Duties:

 

  • Collaborate with the CPO and other business leaders to develop product strategies and multi-generational product plans aligned with market needs, competitive positioning, technology trends, and customer feedback.
  • Support CPO leadership team to execute bids and proposals for new projects, programs, and contracts.
  • Develop program and project plans aligned with business and customer needs.  This includes budget forecasts, schedule, milestones, technical requirements, risk mitigation plans, business and manufacturing readiness, field and MRO support, and lifecycle management.
  • Provide leadership to the product management team in the execution of customer and internal programs and projects.  Ensure that programs are delivered on cost, schedule, and meeting performance and quality requirements while positioning the team to grow our propulsion business.   Maintain an effective operating rhythm with key metrics and communications to provide regular status updates to customer and internal leadership.
  • Effectively interface and collaborate with external customers, senior leaders, technical teams, and operations teams to ensure program success and drive future business opportunities.
  • Interface with customers to coordinate contract changes and address any customer or field issues.
  • Build and develop a product management team that delivers high-quality outcomes for our customers.
  • Provide leadership on how product management should be implemented across the company.  Lead efforts to develop, implement, and continuously improve product and program management processes.
  • Take on key department wide initiatives, working with a variety of cross functional stakeholders to improve the overall technical capabilities within the organization

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years in Aerospace and Defense acquisition experience required, familiarity with propulsion systems or applications for propulsion systems is strongly desired.
  • 10+ years of combined leadership experience in technical, program management and/or P&L leadership functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality and product safety management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and finding win-win outcomes.
  • Military veterans preferred.
