Summer Piano Academy Camp Coordinator

Short-term Summer Camp Employment Opportunity

About the role

  • Join a vibrant, high-level musical community and help create a transformative experience for young pianists! We are hiring responsible, enthusiastic, and caring staff to support our weeklong residential academy, July 6-July 13, 2026, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Duties

  • Design and format Camp Schedule (Pre-camp)
  • Schedule lessons for faculty (Pre-camp)
  • Schedule students' daily practice time (Pre-camp)
  • Create camp award and certificate (Pre-camp)
  • Arrange Audition Schedule
  • Provide support during masterclasses, auditions, and rehearsals
  • Help monitor practice rooms and assist with scheduling issues as needed
  • Create Midweek recital program & final recital programs
  • Post the daily lesson and practice schedule on the schedule board, as well as the activities of the day
  • Scan music for master classes
  • Assist with daily operations, including transitions between activities
  • Oversee all scheduling
  • Unlock practice rooms, classrooms, and offices for students
  • Drive the school van if needed
  • Assist the director when needed

Qualifications

  • Must be a current student at Bethel University

Expectations

  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration with faculty and staff
  • Be punctual, responsible, and proactive in assisting both students and faculty
  • Report any student concerns (musical, behavioral, or personal) promptly to faculty or leadership
  • Help foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive community


Work Environment:

Most of the tasks will be done online, and around the music department.

 

Physical Demands:

Most of the work will be done digitally, and some light walking.

 

Expected Hours of Work:

Approximately a total of 80 hours. The final amount is subject to change depending on the actual hours worked or needed to finish the assigned tasks.

The pay range for this role is:

14.25 - 14.25 USD per hour (Bethel University)
